Quotes (also called estimates) let you turn a lead or job into a priced proposal your customer can review, approve, and e-sign. You build the quote from your products and pricing catalog, customize the line items and totals, then send it by text or email straight from Revenue Sol.

Before you start

Quotes work best when your catalog is ready to go. Add your services and materials to the products and pricing catalog first so you can drop them into a quote as line items instead of typing everything by hand each time.
Connect a contact or lead to the quote so it stays attached to that customer’s record. That way the quote, the conversation, and any resulting job all live in one place.

Build a quote

1

Start a new quote

Open the Quotes area and create a new quote, then attach it to the customer (a contact or lead). You can also start a quote directly from a lead or job record so the customer details carry over automatically.
2

Add line items from your catalog

Add line items by selecting services or products from your catalog. Each item pulls in its name, description, and price, so you only adjust the quantity. You can also add a one-off custom line item for anything not in your catalog.
3

Set quantities and adjust pricing

Update quantities for each line, and edit the price or description on any line if this job needs something different from the catalog default. Apply discounts where appropriate.
4

Review totals and taxes

Revenue Sol calculates the subtotal automatically as you add lines. Apply the tax rate so the customer sees the correct total before they approve.
5

Customize the quote

Add notes, terms, or a personal message so the customer understands what’s included. Review everything once more before sending.

Totals and taxes

As you add and edit line items, the subtotal updates in real time. Add any tax and discounts so the displayed total matches what the customer will actually pay. Always confirm the final number is correct before you send, since this is the amount the customer approves and e-signs.
A quote is a proposal, not a charge. Nothing is billed when you send it. After the customer approves, you convert it into an invoice to collect payment. See Invoices and Getting paid.

Send by text or email

When the quote is ready, send it to your customer by text message or email. The customer receives a link to view the full quote, where they can approve and e-sign it. Sending by text usually gets the fastest response for local home-service work, while email is useful for larger or more detailed proposals.
1

Choose how to send

Pick text or email. Make sure the customer’s mobile number or email address is on their contact record.
2

Send the quote

Send it, and the customer gets a link to review the quote online.
3

Track the response

Watch the quote status to see when the customer views, approves, or declines it. Approved quotes can be turned into a job and an invoice.
Text-to-send relies on your connected Twilio or RingCentral number. Make sure your number is connected before sending quotes by text. Carrier message costs are billed at cost with no markup.

FAQ

Yes. The link you send opens the quote in the customer’s browser, where they can review every line item and approve and e-sign it. You’ll see the status update inside Revenue Sol.
You can convert the approved quote into a job to schedule the work, and into an invoice to collect payment. This keeps the estimate, the work, and the bill linked to the same customer.
Keep your frequently used services and bundles in your products and pricing catalog. Adding them as line items is the fastest way to rebuild a similar quote.
